Biography

Since his younger years Patrick 'Tez Oner' Bloom (BAC) used to draw, write, build objects and skate so it was obvious he would do his education in the this particular direction. He we to the Rotterdam Graphic School at the age of 12 and was directly charmed by Graphic Design and the upcoming new medium: The Internet...

After the basic 4 years he chose to add another 4 years on this institute and started with Graphic and Audiovisual Design in 1994. That time he bought his first Mac an Apple Mac LC III computer mainly because of the graphic design works and study he did on the Graphic Lyceum Rotterdam.

During this study he started together with a classmate a company (iLLeGAL iNDustRiEz dESinG)  so he could practice the knowledge from school into real jobs. After finishing the Graphic Lyceum in Rotterdam in 1996 he directly went to the Willem the Kooning Art Academy (University level) also in Rotterdam. A direction where he could use different media on Print, Interaction and Audiovisual Design to visualize his concepts.

During this period he had lessons in Design-methodics, writing scenarios and other courses related to Graphic, Audiovisual, GUI- and Interface Design. After graduating IMM (Interactive Multi Media) on the Willem de Kooning Art Academy in 2001.

After 15 years he still works independent as a multidisciplinary (UI/UX) designer and is strongly focussed on design, layout, usability and user experience with knowledge from video, interaction and audio-design. Through the years he have been in a lot of different positions in the professional creative industry making him an allround visual designer.

He has made dozens of games, interfaces and websites for a broad range of national and international clients like: Nikko, City of Rotterdam, Roland, Pack!, Talpa, Deutsche Postbank, British Airways, Tros TV and Impulse Bodyspray. During projects he has been in different positions like Interface design, Animator and Flash programmer. He likes to work for clients from all sectors, cause it's always a big challenge to come up with fresh ideas as every product or company has it's own look & feel. Besides 'flat' work he's very skilled in making 3D visuals and animations.
